We have heard rumors over the past couple of months that Asus are working on a new version of their popular Eee Pad Transformer convertible tablet, which will be the Eee Pad Transformer 2.
The new Eee Pad Transformer has been rumored to come with NVIDIA’s new quad core Kal-El processor, and now the existence of the Eee Pad Transformer 2 has been confirmed by Asus’s Chairman Jonney Shih.
Jonney Shih didn’t confirm any specifications on the new Eee Pad Transformer 2 tablet, but he did say it would be ‘impressive, in a recent interview with Forbes, and he also said that Asus will release more tablets before the end of the year.
NVIDIA’s Kal-El processor will be available to manufacturers in September, so we could see the Eee Pad Transformer launch before the end of the year or it may debut at next years CES in January.
