A new smart lighting system has been developed by Ario which has been designed to learn more about the way you live and synchronise your homes lighting with your body clock, allowing you to stay healthier using natural lighting patterns.
When combined with companion applications for both iOS and Android devices the Ario smart lighting system can use geo-fencing features to turn on your lighting automatically when you approach or turn it off when you leave your home.
Ario explains more about their new smart lighting system in the video below which also is equipped with an audio alarm to complement the Ario sunrise alarm, just in case the gentle change in lighting isn’t quite enough to get you out of bed.
Today’s indoor lighting is static, as if the sun were fixed in the sky. This is unnatural and has significant implications to our sleep, mood, immune system, weight management, and overall well-being. Ario is a WiFi connected lamp and lighting system that mimics the light of the sun to keep your body clock in sync and improve health.
Humans evolved to live according to rhythms of the sun. We respond physically and mentally to the light around us. Today, we live in a world in which our sleep/wake cycles are easily disrupted. We often feel groggy in the morning, lethargic during the day, and restless at night.
Our bodies respond to light direction, color, intensity, and time, releasing hormones that control our body processes – physiology, sleep, metabolism, behavior, and mood. Based on over 15 years of scientific research from Harvard Medical School, NASA, and the NIH, Ario delivers lighting optimized for your health.
Features of Ario include the ability to :
– Wake up naturally with sunrise-like lighting
– Increase focus and productivity with energizing blue-rich light
– Relax in the evening with sunset-like amber lighting
– Sleep better at night
– Improve health: manage weight, reduce stress, increase antioxidant levels, and boost immune system
