Designed by Guy Jeremiah, the Aquatina he says is the world’s first collapsible pocket water bottle. That can be carried easily in your bag without taking up any more space than is required.
The idea developed from a challenge set by Guy’s mother for him to find an alternative to carrying big bottles of water on hikes. After a long process of development Guy presented his invention on the UK’s Dragons Den programme and the first production of 20,000 bottles is expected to reach retailers this month.
Some cynics said that the bottle could not be created due to the production required, but Guy has created a created a PET bottle that is BPA free so it can be re-used, it holds 500 ml and collapses to 30% of its size. The prototyes Guy created sold like hot cakes at £5 ($ 7.70) each.
