Apple is expected to release their new macOS Mojave software update today. The company also recently released their new iOS 12 software update along with their new iPhone XS handsets. Apple announced at their iPhone event that Mojave will be released on the 24th of September.
Apple’s macOS Mojave was first revealed back at their Worldwide developer conference in June, the software has been available in beta since then.
The new version of Apple’s macOS will bring a wide range of new features to Apple’s Mac range of computers, the software will not be available for all Macs, you can see a list of supported devices below.
Models compatible with macOS Mojave:
- MacBook models introduced in early 2015 or later
- MacBook Air models introduced in mid 2012 or later
- MacBook Pro models introduced in mid 2012 or later
- Mac mini models introduced in late 2012 or later
- iMac models introduced in late 2012 or later
- iMac Pro (all models)
- Mac Pro models introduced in late 2013, plus mid 2010 or mid 2012 models with recommended Metal-capable graphics processor, including MSI Gaming Radeon RX 560 and Sapphire Radeon PULSE RX 580
The update should land later today, it is recommended that you take a backup before you install the latest macOS software on your Mac.
