The iPhone XR recently launched in the US, if you bought the device you would have to buy it with one of the mobile carriers, this has now changed and the handset can be purchased SIM free from Apple.
The SIM free version of the handset is exactly the same as the carrier version, it will be compatible with AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile and other carriers, you can basically use the device with any carrier you want.
As a reminder the handset comes with a 6.1 inch LCD display and it is powered by the new Apple A12 Bionic processor, there is also a choice of storage options, 64GB, 128GB or 256GB.
The iPhone XR features high end cameras the front and back, these are the main cameras from the iPhone XS and include a 7 megapixel TrueDepth camera on the front for Selfies, video calls and FaceID, the handset also has a 12 megapixel wide angle camera on the back, the device comes with Apple’s iOS 12.1.
Pricing for the iPhone XR start at $749 in the US for the 64GB model, if you want the 128GB version this will cost you $799 and the top 256GB model costs $899.
