
Apple recently released their fourth beta of iOS 12, they also released their new iOS 11.4.1 software and now we have some videos of iOS 12 Beta 4 vs iOS 11.4.1.
In the videos we get to see the iOS 12 Beta 4 vs iOS 11.4.1 run on a range of Apple’s iPhones from the iPhone 5S to the iPhone 8, will there be any speed improvements. First we have the iPhone 5S.
As we can see from the video the iPhone 5S running the new iOS 12 beta 4 booted up faster than the device running the current version of iOS. There also appears to be some speed improvements in the apps in the latest beta, next we have the iPhone 6.
With the iPhone 6, the handset running the current iOS 11.4.1 software booted up slightly quicker than the device running the new beta. There does not appear to be any major speed differences in the apps, next up is the iPhone 6S.
As we can see in the iPhone 6S video, the device with the new iOS 12 beta 4 booted up considerably faster than the handset running the iOS 11.4.1 software. There also appears to be some speed improvements in the apps with the new beta, next we have the iPhone 7.
The iPhone 7 running the new iOS 12 beta appeared to boot up a split second faster than the handset running the iOS 11.4.1 software. There does not appear to be any major speed differences in the apps, finally we have the iPhone 8.
As we can see from the video the iPhone 8 running the the new iOS 12 software booted up slightly faster than the handset running the current software. The two handsets seem about the same in the apps.
Apple has said that the main focus of iOS 12 is speed and performance improvements, this includes older devices. We are expecting iOS 12 to be released some time in September along with the new iPhone X handsets.
