Apple has announced that they will be releasing their new iOS 11 on the 19th of September. The software will bring a wide range of new features to the iPhone and the iPad.
We have already seen many of the new features that will be available with iOS 11, these include a complete new design and some major changes to Siri.
Enhanced Siri Capabilities
Siri gets some new voices in iOS 11 and there are also changes to the Lock Screen and Control Center and more. The new voices are designed to sound more natural and expressive, making interactions with Siri feel more human-like. Additionally, Siri will now be able to translate languages in real-time, which is a significant upgrade for travelers and multilingual users. For example, you can ask Siri to translate a sentence from English to Spanish, and it will provide both the text and audio translation instantly.
Moreover, Siri’s intelligence has been enhanced with machine learning, allowing it to offer more contextually relevant suggestions. For instance, if you are browsing a webpage about a specific topic, Siri can suggest related news articles or websites. This makes Siri not just a voice assistant but a more integrated part of your daily digital life.
Revamped User Interface
The Lock Screen and Control Center have undergone significant redesigns. The Lock Screen now merges with the Notification Center, allowing you to see all your notifications in one place. This makes it easier to manage and respond to alerts without unlocking your phone. The Control Center is now customizable, letting you add or remove shortcuts based on your preferences. This means you can have quick access to the features you use the most, such as the flashlight, camera, or Wi-Fi settings.
Another notable change is the introduction of a new Files app, which aims to bring a more organized file management system to iOS. This app allows you to browse, search, and organize all your files in one place, whether they are stored locally, in iCloud, or in other cloud services like Dropbox. App Store Overhaul
There are also some major changes to the App Store. The App Store has been completely redesigned to make discovering apps and games easier than ever. The new Today tab features daily stories, tips, and recommendations from Apple’s editors, helping users find new and interesting apps. Additionally, apps and games now have separate tabs, making it easier to find exactly what you’re looking for.
The new App Store also includes more detailed app pages, with more information about the app, including videos, ratings, and reviews. This helps users make more informed decisions before downloading an app. Developers also benefit from these changes, as they can now showcase their apps more effectively and reach a broader audience.
Augmented Reality and More
One of the most exciting features of iOS 11 is the introduction of ARKit, Apple’s new framework for augmented reality (AR).
