Apple’s AirPlay lets you play content from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch on your TV set if you have an Apple TV device, you can also share music from iTunes to AirPlay enabled devices.
Now Bloomberg are reporting that Apple may start to license their AirPlay technology to TV manufacturers, which would mean that you wouldn’t need an Apple TV device to watch content on your TV from your iPhone or iPad.
If Apple manage to get their AirPlay technology into TVs this would expand their market beyond the Apple TV, and could mean even more people will end up buying iPhone’s and iPads to use this feature with their HDTV.
