Apple developers can now create applications for the new Apple Watch, as Apple has released their Apple WatchKit software for developers.
The company has released a new video which shows developers, how their Apple Watch applications will work, and what they need to do to create applications for Apple’s new smartwatch platform.
Apple Watch represents a new chapter in the relationship people have with technology. Starting early 2015, you will be able to deliver innovative new experiences to your customers on their wrist. Learn how your existing app notifications can easily show up on Apple Watch. And by leveraging WatchKit, you can take your apps even further by extending and enhancing their functionality on Apple Watch.
The announcement also revealed some more specifications about the new Apple Watch, the 38mm model will come with a resolution of 272 x 340 pixels, and the 42mm version will have a resolution of 312 x 390 pixels.
Apple have yet to give a specific release date for their new smartwatch, all we know is that it will launch some time in early 2015, and there are rumors that it wont launch until spring, which starts in the US on the 20th of March, as soon as we get more details on a release date, we will let you guys know.
