Apple has updated its iBooks application for the iPad and iPhone, and added a range of new features to the latest version, iBooks 1.1.1. Some of the new features in iBooks 1.1.1 include the ability to double tap an image within a book to view the image in greater details.
Apple have also added the ability to experience audio and video in certain books and have also increased the performance when reading a PDF, plus the ability to look up definitions of English words inside books without a specified language.
iBooks is an amazing way to download and read books. iBooks includes the iBookstore, where you can download the latest best-selling books or your favorite classics – day or night. Browse your library on a beautiful bookshelf, tap a book to open it, flip through pages with a swipe or a tap, and bookmark or add notes to your favorite passages.
The udpate also brings some bug fixes, which include the addressing of an issue that cause some books to not download fully, as well as a range of performance and stability improvements.
iBooks is available as a free download for the iPhone and iPad from iTunes.
