It seems that today’s Apple special event could turn out to be quite interesting, as well some new iPods and a possible new Apple TV, it seems that Apple has signed a deal with a number of studios to allow $0.99 TV show rentals through iTunes.
According to the WSJ, both Fox and ABC have agreed to offer $0.99 TV show rentals through iTunes, which could see popular TV shows like Glee, Bones and Lie to Me being offered for the $0.99 rental price.
If Apple intend to launch a new Apple TV today, and want it to succeed, one of the things they will need is the ability for people to rent TV shows for a reasonable price.
