Apple has now released their iOS 11.4 Beta 2 to developers, the release comes just under two weeks after the release of the first beta of iOS 11.4.The software is only available for developers at the moment, it has not been released to Apple’s public beta testing program, that is expected to happen soon.
Apple’s iOS 11.4 software will bring a range of new features to the iPhone and iPad, as well as a range of bug fixes and performance improvements.
When Apple released their iOS 11.3 recently there were some feature missing that were present in the betas of the OS, these are now expected to be released with iOS 11.4. These features include support for Apple’s Message on iCloud and also support for AirPlay 2. These features have now been included again in the current beta.
Apple has apparently also removed the references to the stereo pairing for their Apple HomePod Speaker, this features not live yet, it be be added back in before the final version of iOS 11.4 is released. As we are only on the second beta of iOS 11.4 we are not expecting the final version of the software to land any time soon, we suspect we will have to wait until next month for the final release.
