The Apple iWatch is rumored to launch this year, and we are expecting the device to launch along with the new iPhone 6 in September.
Now according to a recent report, LG have scored an exclusive deal to build the Apple iWatch display, and LG will apparently start mass producing displays for the iWatch between July and September.
LG will apparently use its P-OLED display technology, which is a Plastic OLED display for the Apple iWatch, and the device is expected to feature a curved display.
We previously heard that Apple were facing a number of manufacturing challenges with the iWatch, mainly to do with the display of the device.
This could explain why Apple have turned to LG to produce the display, as the company recently launched their first curved flexible smartphone the LG G Flex, and could use similar technology for the Apple iWatch display.
Apple are expected to release two different sized iWatch devices, one with a 1.3 inch display for women and one with a 1.7 inch display for men.
The Apple iWatch is said to be much more than just a communicator device for your iPhone or iPad, the device is also rumored to be used to control home automation, something which Apple has big plans for in the future.
It will be interesting to see what the Apple iWatch is like, if Apple manages to create an interesting design, and a watch that people would actually like to wear, it could end up being a very popular device for Apple.
