Fortune has released its annual list of the most admired companies for the year, and the results are not too surprising.
Once again, Apple has managed to claim the top spot and was crowned as the world’s most admired company by Fortune.
The survey asks executives to name the companies they admire the most, and the results suggests its Apple that has claimed the top spot, followed by Amazon and Google on the second and third place, respectively. There are other technology giants in the list as well, but they are not found in the top 10. Samsung Electronics is residing on the 21st spot while Microsoft is on the 24th number. Facebook is also present in the list on 38th spot.
Apple has claimed the spot seventh time in a row, and there’s no surprise. The company revealed a profit of a massive $171 million for the last fiscal year, while people are waiting for the Cupertino-based company to unveil their next big thing (iWatch maybe?).
As far as Amazon is concerned, Fortune says, “The e-commerce behemoth may be gobbling up brick and mortar businesses left and right, but Amazon.com’s customer-centric culture and super-convenience has won the company millions of shoppers worldwide.”
Lastly, Fortune says Google lost the second spot to Amazon, but the company is continuously trying to make the lives of consumers easier. “Though it dropped a spot to Amazon.com this year, Google continues to find ways to make life easier (sometimes creepily so) via mind-blowing Internet products. It also seeks to blow minds with its innovative “moonshot projects,” like the production of driverless cars,” according to Fortune.
