Check out my iPhone 7s Plus hands-on and comparison with the iPhone 8 prototype! With all the iPhone 8, iPhone X, iPhone Edition, iPhone Pro leaks and rumors hyping up, let’s not forget about the new iPhone 7s and 7s Plus! New glass back for wireless charging, new dual camera system, traditional aspect ratio and Touch ID, A11 CPU, and iOS 11.
Design and Features
The iPhone 8 is expected to feature a radical redesign compared to its predecessors. Rumors suggest that it will have an edge-to-edge OLED display, which will provide more vibrant colors and deeper blacks. This design choice is a significant departure from the traditional LCD screens used in previous models. Additionally, the iPhone 8 is rumored to include a glass back, which will enable wireless charging—a feature that has been long-awaited by Apple enthusiasts.
On the other hand, the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus are expected to retain the traditional design but with some notable upgrades. These models are also rumored to feature a glass back to support wireless charging. The dual-camera system on the iPhone 7s Plus is expected to receive an upgrade, potentially offering better low-light performance and enhanced optical zoom capabilities.
Performance and Software
Both the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 7s series are expected to be powered by Apple’s new A11 chip. This new processor is anticipated to offer significant performance improvements over the A10 chip found in the iPhone 7. The A11 chip is expected to be more efficient, providing better battery life and faster processing speeds, which will be particularly beneficial for augmented reality (AR) applications and other resource-intensive tasks.
In terms of software, all new iPhones will come with iOS 11 out of the box. iOS 11 introduces several new features, including a redesigned Control Center, improved multitasking capabilities, and new AR functionalities. The new operating system is designed to take full advantage of the hardware improvements in the new iPhones, offering a more seamless and intuitive user experience.
As more information and specifications are revealed about the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 7s in the run-up to the highly anticipated Apple event taking place in September 2017, we will keep you up-to-date as always.
