A new featurette trailer has been released this week as a teaser for the upcoming premiere of the new movie Annihilation, starring Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny, and Oscar Isaac. Annihilation will be premiering in theatre screens in the United States and China next month, from February 23rd, 2018 onwards. 17 days later the movie will be made available Internationally via the Netflix streaming service.
The movie is based on Jeff VanderMeer’s best-selling Southern Reach Trilogy and has been written and directed by Alex Garland through is also responsible for having a hand in creating the excellent Ex Machina and 28 Days Later movies. Annihilation is a science fiction fantasy, action horror movie and will be released by Paramount Pictures throughout the United States and China and then internationally by Netflix. The storyline follows a group of soldiers that enter an environmental disaster zone, with only one making it back alive (Oscar Isaac) although grievously injured. In an attempt to save his life the soldier’s wife a biologist played by Natalie Portman, volunteers to take part in another expedition into the disaster zone to figure out what exactly happened to the soldiers and her husband.
After the initial Premier of the Annihilation 2018 movie in cinema screens throughout the US and China, Netflix will start streaming the new Annihilation movie 17 days later to international markets.
