Features of Android 9.0 Pie
Android 9.0 Pie brings a host of new features and improvements to the Nokia 7.1. One of the most notable features is the new gesture-based navigation system, which replaces the traditional three-button navigation bar with a single pill-shaped home button. This allows for a more intuitive and fluid user experience. Additionally, Android Pie introduces Adaptive Battery, which uses machine learning to prioritize battery power for the apps and services you use most frequently, thereby extending battery life.
Another significant feature is Adaptive Brightness, which automatically adjusts the screen brightness based on your preferences and ambient lighting conditions. Digital Wellbeing is also a key addition, offering tools to help users understand and manage their smartphone usage. This includes features like Dashboard, which provides a detailed breakdown of how much time you spend on your device, and App Timers, which let you set time limits on specific apps.
Rollout and Availability
Whilst the Android Pie update has already started to roll out to the Nokia 7.1, it may take a while for the update to reach your device. HMD Global has revealed that the update is being rolled out in stages, which is a common practice to ensure that any potential issues can be identified and addressed before the update is made available to all users. This staged rollout helps to minimize the risk of widespread problems that could affect a large number of devices.
To check if the update is available for your device, you can go to the settings menu on your Nokia 7.1. Navigate to “System,” then “Advanced,” and finally “System Update.” If the update is available, you will see a prompt to download and install it. It’s recommended to connect to a Wi-Fi network and ensure your device has sufficient battery life before starting the update process.
The Nokia 7.1 is known for its robust build quality and impressive display, featuring a 5.84-inch Full HD+ screen with HDR10 support. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM, depending on the variant. With the Android 9.0 Pie update, users can expect improved performance and a more refined user experience.
