Amazon has this week announced that they have now started being able to offer customers Sunday deliveries, thanks to a new partnership they have struck with the U.S. Postal Service.
Amazon is starting to roll out the new Amazon Sunday delivery service across the US and has this week started with the service being available in Los Angeles and New York.
Amazon members can now enjoy two-day shipping on millions of items within the Amazon online store are now able to receive Amazon Sunday deliveries within those 2 areas. Which is sure to provide extra assistance in the run-up to the holiday season.
Amazon has explained in this press release today that it will continue rolling out the new Amazon Sunday delivery service to a large portion of the U.S. population in 2014 including Dallas, Houston, New Orleans and Phoenix, to name a few.
“If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can order a backpack for your child on Friday and be packing it for them Sunday night,” said Dave Clark, Amazon’s vice president of worldwide operations and customer service. “We’re excited that now every day is an Amazon delivery day and we know our Prime members, who voraciously shop on Amazon, will love the additional convenience they will experience as part of this new service.”
