Amazon has this week introduced a new rental system for students allowing them to now rent textbooks via Kindle devices rather than purchasing them and carrying the heavy textbooks about campus. Amazon rental service now allows students to rent books for a minimum of thirty days and save up to 80% off the print list price.
If you need to rent the books for longer you can add additional days and pay the additional cost. The rental scheme is available on Kindle devices and devices capable of running Amazon’s Kindle including: PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, Android device, Windows Phone 7, and Blackberry.
To find available books simply search for your textbook in the Textbooks Store or from the search bar, and if a Kindle edition is available for rent, you’ll see an option in the Formats section on the textbook page. Select this option.
