Kindle owners who have been waiting patiently for the ability to send documents easily from their mac desktop. Will be pleased to know that this week Amazon has now released a Mac OS X version of the Kindle document transfer software, Send To Kindle.
Send To Kindle for Mac OS X works in the same way that the PC version does, and enables you to send a wide variety of documents directly to your Amazon Kindle device.
Documents supported include Microsoft Word documents, PDFs, plain text, and rich text files, together with images in either .jpeg or .gif formats. As always, you can still send documents to your Amazon Kindle device by emailing them to your “Send to Kindle” e-mail address. Enjoy!
“From Finder, simply drag and drop one or more documents on to the Send to Kindle icon on your Dock or launch the application and drag and drop one or more documents on to it. From Finder, you can also control-click on one or more documents and choose Send to Kindle. From any other application that can print, select Print and choose Send to Kindle.”
