According to a recent report, Amazon has a new book subscription service in the works, the device is rumored to be called Kindle Unlimited.
Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited will give you access to a wide range of books for a monthly fee, which is said to be $9.99, and this will apparently give you access to over 600,000 books on your Kindle tablet or Kindle reader device.
As well as books the book subscription service will apparently also give you access to audio books, and the guys over at GigaOM have found confirmation that the service is apparently being tested at the moment.
One page, still active at the time of this post and titled “KU Test,” shows 638,416 available titles, and you can browse through them. Among them are many books from Amazon’s publishing imprints, and many books that were already available through Amazon’s “Kindle Owners Lending Library,” which allows Kindle-owning Prime members to borrow one free ebook per month. That includes the Hunger Games series and the Harry Potter series.
As yet there are no details on when this new Kindle Unlimited book service will launch, as soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
