Amazon has today introduced a new addition to its range of streaming devices announcing the imminent release of the new Fire TV Stick 4K for $50. Pre-ordering is now available with shipping expected to take place on October 31st, 2018. Supported output resolutions include 2160p, 1080p and 720p up to 60 fps thanks to its Quad-core 1.7 GHz processor and 8 GB of on-board storage
The new pocket -sized device is Amazon’s most powerful 4K streaming media stick, equipped with a new Wi-Fi antenna design optimised for 4K Ultra HD streaming. “With more power, a lightning-fast processor, support for 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, and a new antenna design, Fire TV Stick 4K allows you to enjoy a more complete 4K Ultra HD streaming experience.” Amazon also says that their new Fire TV Stick 4K has more storage for applications and games than any other 4K streaming media player under $100. The previous Fire TV Stick is also still available priced at $39.99 offering resolutions up to 1080p.
