Amazon has today announced the next step in integrating their new Amazon Dash ordering buttons into our home appliances, with the announcement of partnerships with Brother, GE Appliances, and Gmate devices and the launch of the new Amazon Dash Replenishment Devices.
The new additions Purell and Whirlpool.add to the ever growing list of manufactures that already have Dash services available in the US. These include Samsung, Brita, August, Oster, Obe, Petnet, Clever Pet, Sutro, Thync, and Sealed Air to name a few.
Daniel Rausch, Director, Amazon Devices explains :
With Amazon Dash Replenishment, we want to make customers’ lives even easier so they won’t run out of items like laundry detergent, pet food or printer ink again—customers simply activate Dash Replenishment when they are setting up their connected device and then rely on Amazon to automatically deliver those everyday essentials. It’s exciting to make Dash Replenishment a reality—customers can start taking advantage of the service today and we will continue to launch and add new devices to the program this year.
Amazon Dash Replenishment Service (DRS) enables connected devices to order physical goods from Amazon when supplies are running low—like a Brita Water Pitcher that orders more filters. By using Amazon Dash Replenishment, device makers are able to leverage Amazon’s authentication and payment systems, customer service, and fulfillment network—giving their customers access to Amazon’s low prices, great selection, and reliable delivery.
