In case you haven’t already heard, a new Alien game is headed to consoles and PC this year. It’s called Alien: Isolation and a release date of October 7th was recently made official. Alien fans can pick up their copy for any of the major systems still being supported, except for Nintendo-based systems.
It’s a smart release date if you think about it. The game is being worked on by SEGA and Creative Assembly, which means the possibility is there that it’ll be good but most of us won’t believe that until we see it. Therefore, a release date in between the typical release periods for major releases is appropriate since they won’t have to compete with too many other titles.
Honestly, I’m not expecting this game to be any better than the last few. How long has it been since a good Alien game was even made? Has it ever happened?
SEGA being involved doesn’t help. They’ve been steadily going downhill the last few years, putting out a good game every once in a blue moon just to stay afloat. They’re a lot like Nintendo, too old to notice that gaming has changed.
Are you excited for Alien:Isolation?
