Microsoft has this week made available the Acer Windows Mixed Reality Headset Developer Edition which is now available to purchase price to $299 and comes equipped with two high-resolution liquid crystal displays providing users with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels.
The new headset is equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and offers an affordable alternative to the Microsoft HoloLens development edition kit which is priced at an eye watering $3,000.
Specifications of the Acer Windows Mixed Reality Headset Developer Edition include:
• Two high-resolution liquid crystal displays at 1440 x 1440
• 2.89” diagonal display size (x2)
• Front hinged display
• 95 degrees horizontal field of view
• Display refresh rate up to 90 Hz (native)
