Acer has been showcasing its new Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop which is expected to launch during April 2018 within the UK and North America with prices starting from £899 or $799 depending on your location. The latest gaming laptop to be launched by Acer is equipped with a 15.6 inch display and powered by a Ryzen mobile processor, AMD Radeon RX560 graphics. The gaming laptop can be fitted with up to 32 GB of RAM and 512 GB of solid state drive (SSD) if your budget will stretch. As well as the HD display offering a resolution of 1920 x 1080 the gaming laptop is equipped with a backlit keyboard and Dolby Audio Premium sound. And the features include three full-sized USB ports, 1 x USB Type-C port, 1 x headset jack, 1 x HDMI with connectivity offered by dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and support for 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth.
Due to the high performance hardware installed in the system the Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop is only capable of providing a few hours of play while away from a mains connection, although this is not going to cause an issue for most. As you can see from the images the keyboard is bright red and also includes extra Highlights around the WASD keys to help you regain your position quickly when playing, although the keyboard is not backlit which is a bit of a disappointment especially for a gaming laptop.
If you would rather not upgrade your current gaming system you may be interested in the new service which has been launched by NVIDIA at this week’s CES 2018 which offers cloud gaming and is available for both Mac and PC systems enabling you to play new AAA games even on older hardware thanks to the cloud connectivity.
