Subaru has announced the starting price of its anticipated 3-row SUV called the Ascent. The new SUV will start at $31,995 and come standard with Subaru Symmetrical All-wheel drive. It’s not as if a Subaru wouldn’t come with AWD, this is no surprise.
The Ascent will also come with X-Mode and EyeSight Driver Assist tech as standard. The engine in the Ascent will be a 260hp BOXER and the SUV will have a 5,000-pound towing capacity. That should be plenty for a boat or RV towing.
Subaru will integrate 4G LTE WiFi into the vehicle and the Ascent will be built in Lafayette, IN. Subaru says that the two rows of 60/40 flat-folding seats will offer up to 86.5 cubic feet of cargo space. The vehicle comes standard with that second-row bench to hold up to eight people. Second-row captain’s chairs will be offered on some trim levels.
