Ford has launched a new performance SUV that is the first to wear the ST badge and slots into Ford’s performance line with the Focus ST and other cars. The Edge ST is a mid-size SUV and it is powered by a hopped up 2.7L EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 engine.
That motor puts out 335hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. Ford isn’t offering any performance numbers at this time. The engine is paired with standard all-wheel drive and a fast shifting 8-speed automatic transmission. That trans has paddle shifters.
The ST has a special grille, side skirts, and dual exhaust outlets. It rides on unique 21-inch wheels and has special design cues on the inside. Part of those special touches are ST badges and Ford Performance sill plates.
