By all accounts, the Bugatti Chiron is a feat of design and engineering. The car is beautiful and is also one of the fastest vehicles in the world. It’s also insanely expensive. A company called Amalgam has created a model of the Chiron engine in 1:4 scale and it costs almost $10,000.
It’s insanely cool and VERY detailed putting everything exactly where the real Chiron engine has it. You can see all four of the turbos and all the beauty of the 8.0L W16 engine. The reason the model costs so much is that it’s quite large at 18-inches long and 9-inches tall.
Each example takes 220 hours to build from 1040 different pieces. It’s too bad you can’t buy a DIY model kit of this thing for say $200 because I’d love to have it on my desk. If you can afford a Chiron, you can certainly afford the $9,365 asking price for the model engine. You can watch a real Chiron do 217 mph here.
