Ad blockers have been in the news quite a lot over the last few months, with more and more people using them on both the desktop and mobile.
Now it would appear that Yahoo is stopping people who use ad blockers from accessing their Yahoo Mail, this can be seen in the screenshot below.
Yahoo has gone for the approach that if users are going to block their adverts then they are going to block users content and not give them access to their emails.
Whether this tactic will work remains to be seen, people could just decide to switch to another email provider like Google’s Gmail, although that may change in the future.

The problem is with Ad blockers is that they are denying websites that provide free content which are supported by adverts, which means that smaller sites like ourselves will end up going out of business if people keep blocking the adverts.
The larger sites will probably end up managing tor work out a way to either stop people using ad blockers on their site or find new ways of generating revenue to cover costs, it is the smaller independent sites like ourselves that will suffer.
