Toshiba has announced two new 3D TVs at CES 2012, the Toshiba L6200 and the Toshiba L7200, both devices are Smart TVs and come with a range of features built in.
The Toshiba L6200 will be available in a 42 inch, 47 inch and a 55 inch version and the L7200 will be available in a 47 and 55 inch version, both models are passive 3D TVs.

Other specifications include WiFi, DLNA for streaming music and videos, plus AirPlay streaming capabilities and a tablet remote application that will let you control the TV through your tablet.
Advanced Features and Connectivity
Both the Toshiba L6200 and the Toshiba L7200 come equipped with advanced connectivity options. The inclusion of WiFi allows for seamless internet browsing and access to a variety of online streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube. The DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) feature enables users to stream content from other DLNA-compatible devices within their home network, making it easier to share videos, music, and photos across multiple platforms.
The AirPlay streaming capabilities are particularly noteworthy, as they allow users to stream content directly from their Apple devices, such as iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks, to the TV. This feature enhances the overall user experience by providing a simple and efficient way to view content on a larger screen.
Tablet Remote Application
One of the standout features of these new Toshiba 3D Smart TVs is the tablet remote application. This innovative app transforms your tablet into a fully functional remote control, offering a more intuitive and interactive way to navigate through the TV’s interface. The app provides users with the ability to control various aspects of the TV, such as changing channels, adjusting volume, and accessing different apps and settings. This feature is particularly useful for those who prefer using a touchscreen interface over traditional remote controls.
Both the Toshiba L6200 and the Toshiba L7200 will go on sale in the US in March 2012, there are no details on pricing as yet.
Enhanced Viewing Experience
The passive 3D technology used in both the L6200 and L7200 models offers a comfortable and immersive viewing experience. Unlike active 3D technology, which requires battery-powered glasses, passive 3D glasses are lightweight and do not require any power source. This makes them more comfortable to wear for extended periods and more affordable to replace if lost or damaged.
Additionally, the TVs are designed to deliver high-quality 3D images with minimal crosstalk and ghosting, ensuring a clear and enjoyable viewing experience. The various screen sizes available cater to different room sizes and viewing preferences, making it easy to find the perfect fit for your home.
