The Sony PlayStation 4 is launching in Europe this Friday the 29th of November, and now it would appear that Sony is considering dropping the prices of the PS4 digital games ahead of the European launch.
Some of the major publishers have set European prices for their games, with titles like Battlefield 4 and Fifa 14 costing around £63, which works out at around $103.
Sony recently spoke to EuroGamer, and told them that they have already switched on their European PSN ahead of Friday’s launch and may alter the pricing of the digital games before the PlayStation 4 launch this week.
“Although PS4 launches in Europe on the 29th November, we have switched on the European PSN early to test and make sure that features and functionality are fully operational for launch,” Sony told Eurogamer.
“However, as PS4 and PSN have not yet officially launched in this region, nothing on the PSN is final, including pricing on the store. You will continue to see some prices adjusted over the next few days in preparation for launch on Friday.”
If you have already purchased a game from the PSN, and Sony drops the price before Friday, the company has confirmed that they will refund the difference in price to their customers.
