A new update has rolled out to the award winning photo editing iPad app Snapseed this week, taking the Snapseed app to version 1.4. The latest software update brings with it a number of great new features including support for the new iPad 3 retina display, as well as a new crop tool that includes a 7:5 aspect ratio for all 5 x 7 printers.

Other new features include the ability to now send enhanced images directly to Instagram, and now open images into your other favourite iOS photography applications. Other additions include a newly tweaked Black & White algorithms and colour filters for superior enhancements and control. Snapseed explains:
“Taking a cue from our professional filters product, Color Efex Pro, we’ve improved Center Focus to make it even more powerful. You can now draw attention to the subject of your photo by adjusting the brightness of the inside or outside of your image. You can enhance the overall effect by blurring, or turn it completely off to create vignette effects with ease. Oh, and did we mention that we’ve added presets to give you a starting point and save time?”
The new Snapseed application is now available to download from the iTunes App Store for $4.99 and is highly recommend for tweaking your photographs.
