Skype for Android smartphone devices has now arrived, allowing you to make free calls from your Android phone to other Skype users via WiFi, 3G, EDGE and GPRS.
If you smartphone is running Android 2.1 or higher you can now download the app for the Android Market or by visiting Skype.com/m from your Android phone.
Unfortunately at the moment you can only make calls over WiFi in the United States, and the Skype Android app is not available in the Android Market for either China or Japan. Have a look and our article on Android vs iPhone to see which smartphone and mobile platform is best for you.
