Get it? After Les Paul? Bah!
So this smart lady is building a customized controller for her own game, which is somewhere along the lines of Guitar Hero (RIP) except all the music is from classic games and will be called 8-Bit Hero, which is still under construction.

Here’s the inventress herself explaining this awesome DIY build:
“I first removed the Start microswitch and put it in the A button’s place, and drilled the wood around it to fit the button better. I figured a working A button is more important than the Start button. I put one of the smaller microswitches (that aren’t suitable for the A/B buttons) in the Start button’s place.
Then I made the plungers for the Start/Select buttons. Made from a sanded-down bottle cap, and a thick, non-working pen, cut at about an inch. They, like the dpad and A/B buttons, now work perfectly.
I drilled in the screws, hopefully permanently. And then painted the remaining bare edges. The back remains the beige from the NEScade, but that’s ok.”
There’s been a lot of NES-inspired stuff here at Geeky Gadgets in the last couple of years. But the Nes Paul deserves acclaim for being a step above just plain furniture. It’s a sweet, sweet piece of work. We’re hoping the accompanying 8-Bit Hero game is just as fun.
