The Wool Ball Charger by Yuchen Liu has a singular purpose, aside form juicing your precious smartphone that is. What the Wool Ball does is provide vital extansion between the electric socket it’s plugged in and your phone. It addresses a grim truth about charging devices these days; a lot of chargers lack serious length, making for awkward spots when charging a phone.
Being wool, being a ball of yarn, the sight of it brings to mind cats and their proclivity for playing with this. Bad idea. Imagine what would happen to Mr. Whiskers if this is plugged in and he starts nibbling on the string/wire? The mental images are horrific. So keep the Wool Ball away from cats. Or maybe you never will have to because it’s a concept anyway.
Another blogger opined that the Wool Ball also risks unraveling, which is absolutely correct. This gets unraveled and who knows, it might be a tripping hazard.
Also, the phone being charged in the picture above looks a bit old school, dontcha think?
