Google’s Samsung And Acer Chromebooks Now Available

We have been hearing a lot about the new Chromebooks with the Google Chrome OS over the last few week, and now they have finally gone on sale and are available to buy from both Amazon and Best Buy.

There are two models available, the Samsung Chromebook Series 5 and the Acer Chromia Chromebok, with prices starting at $379.99 for the Acer model and $429.99 for the Samsung model.

The Samsung Chromebook Series 5 features a 12.1 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, there is an Intel Atom N570 1.66GHz processor, a HD web camera and a 16GB solid state drive, there are two models available one with WiFi and one with WiFi and 3G.

The Acer Chromia Chromebook features an 11.6 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, processing is provided by an Intel Atom N570 processor and therte is also 2GB of RAM.

You also get a 1.3 megapixel camera, a pair of stero speakers, two USB 2.0 ports and a HDMI port, as with the Samsung version, there are two models of the Acer Chromia available, a WiFi only model and a WiFi and 3G model.
