Galactic Empire Surround Sound System Oozes Evil Power

Oh, the wonders of DIY! Encased in some very detailed Galactic Empire hardware, including a Death Star, this surround sound system is essentially a Yamaha 2.1 stereo system given the benefit of an iPod dock and TIE Fighters.

If you’re wondering about the configuration, don’t fret. The Death Star is the sub woofer while the TIE Fighters are its speakers. Then there’s Darth Vader’s head working as an impromptu iPod dock.

Okay, so maybe the proportions are messed up and the Death Star is dwarfed by its Fighter complement. Still, the obvious detail and craftsmanship involved is remarkable. Truly a work of sublime passion, such a sound system would be great for Halloween parties or any other festivities this month.

It would be great if a Star Destroyer were thrown into this particular setup. But that’s asking for too much. Maybe a green laser for the ‘main gun’ of the Death Star also qualifies as a nice touch, a useful addition for added theatricality. Then again, it’s just wishful thinking.
