We have featured a number of different ceramic speaker designs here on Geeky Gadgets, but one of the first pairs of speakers we featured were designed by Joey Roth, back in 2009.
Now product designer Joey Roth has created a ceramic subwoofer to complement his ceramic speakers, which are very unique in their minimalist design, and have been constructed using porcelain, stainless steel and Baltic birch.
Roth explains: “The Ceramic Subwoofer extends your system’s frequency response down to 40 Hz. While you will physically feel bass-heavy music, you’ll also notice new richness in vocals and acoustic instruments. The sound is neither boomy nor aggressive, but a balanced completion of the Ceramic Speakers.”
Shipping for the new ceramic subwoofer, and speaker systems will start in December 2012, with a price tag of $1095 a set, for more information on the ceramic speaker system, jump over to the Joey Roth website.
