Review – Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-Shot mobile phone

Sony’s latest mobile phone, the Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-shot is the first mobile phone to feature a built in camera with a massive 8.1 megapixels.

That is a serious amount of camera power in such a small device, and as well as the 8.1 megapixels you get a 2.4 inch QVGA TFT display with a resolution of 240 x320 , with scratch resistant mineral glass, which acts as your viewfinder.

The $10 disposable cellphone – the HOP1800

A company called Hop-On has just launched a disposable cellphone, the HOP1800.

This disposable cellphone will sell for $10, all you need to do is add a sim card, and you can add one from over 40 domestic carriers within the US

The Hop1800 is a basic phone, with no display, no mp3 or video playback, so basically it is a basic phone and thats it.

There are two versions available covering 850/1900 and 900/1800 bands and battery life is 4 hours of talk time and 150 hours of standby.

The Hop1800 will go on sale in US retail and convenience stores, and if you want to return it after you have used it you will get a $5 ‘Go Green’ rebate.

HTC has launched a new mobile, the HTC Touch Diamond.

Panasonic add Plasma Screens to their Cellphones

Panasonic has announced a joint venture with AbleComm to produce a cellphone with a plasma screen display.

This new cellphone is designed to be used with AT&T’s mobile TV service, and the small screen requires only 1.5V to operate and will not require any additional wiring or power supplies to run.

Check out this new cellphone, the Samsung Anycall Haptic.

There will be two models available, the SCH-W420 and SPH-W4200, which will both come with a 3.23 inch touchscreen display, a 2 megapixel camera. stereo Bluetooth, a full Internet browser and DVB-T.

They will also feature 22 kinds of vibration that are built in and apparently when you increase or decrease the volume on the radio an old school radio appears and the sound and feel of the click are simulated via the haptic feedback, check out this video of it in action.

I have to say from the photos and video it looks pretty slick. The Samsung Anycall Haptic will go on sale in Korea for between $700 and $800 (depending on model), no word on availability for the rest of us as yet.

The LG-SH150A will go on sale in Korea for around $49, no word on when we may see it in the US or Europe.
