Many of you may have a pretty good idea about what Boomerang is. It a very useful Google Chrome extension that allows users to schedule Gmail emails to be sent at a later time, even if you are not online. The extension can boost your productivity and make you handle your emails in a better way.

The same application is now available for Android devices as well that allows users to schedule or snooze emails. It is something similar to Mailbox that is already available on iOS devices. Currently, the service works with Gmail and Google Apps only. Some other features include searching Gmail for specific emails, access labels, integration with phone contacts, email signatures, set up multiple accounts, view and include attachments, track responses, and much more.
The application works with gestures: swiping from left to right on any message will move it to archive, swiping to left would reveal extra options such as starring emails, marking them as read, boomerang it, etc. When you boomerang an email, it schedules it and brings it back to your inbox at a later date. Scheduling options are available in the compose window.
However, there are a few useful features that are missing in the application such as push notifications, selecting multiple messages, exchange support and tablet optimized layout. But the developer confirms that these features will be released in the future upgrades.
It may not be the best email client available for Android but with the introduction of missing features, it might be a worthy alternative. Do you use Boomerang for Gmail? Feel free to share your thoughts about it using the comments.
