Later this year you can expect to see YouTube movie rentals appearing on Smart TVs worldwide, after YouTube announced that it would be updating its Smart TV applications to provide users with access to rent movies from its collection.

Currently YouTube have only announced that the new YouTube Smart TV app will be arriving on Philips Smart TVs, but its expected that the YouTube rental feature will also roll out to other Smart TV manufactures over the coming months.
