3 Man Chess

We have features a number of different types of Chess games here on Geeky Gadgets. With the most recent being the Vertical Chess Set. However none have come close to changing the dynamics of the traditional game as much as this 3 man chess set variant. Which uses the same traditional rules and pieces as the original 2 player chess, but adds an additional player, using grey pieces.

The only changes from conventional 3 player chess is the addition of moats to prevent rooks taking each other on the first move. The board is landed out with Six concentric ranks of 24 squares are arrayed around an empty “no man’s land” positioned in the centre.
