Russia’s predominant search engine Yandex has this week suggested the prices of its cloud storage service to provide more competition against the likes of Dropbox and Google Drive.
Yandex have now adjusted their cloud storage prices to reflect the following: 10GB for $1 per month or $10 per year, 100GB for $5 or $50 a year and 1TB for $30 or $300 a year.
Yandex also offers a free 20Gb worth of cloud storage and the company says that Yandex.Disk is available internationally, with apps for Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android and Windows Phone as well as a browser-based interface.
After launching back in April 2012 Yandex explains that its cloud storage offering now has 12 million unique users per month, mostly in Russia and the CIS countries, but with 6.5-7% coming from elsewhere in the world.
