The latest update offers users with a new look with an aim to provide users with real-time information. Along with the usual performance improvements and bug fixes, the update brings feature updates for devices running on the latest iOS 7 OS.
Today we’re introducing the latest Yahoo Mail app for iPhone and iPad, and will be rolling it out for Android phones over the next week, so all the information that’s most important to you is right at your fingertips. We’ve designed it with a focus on simplicity: it’s the familiar Yahoo Mail experience, plus one-tap access to personalized, real-time information that matters to you most.
There’s a new smart search mechanism as well which improves the way users search for people in their inbox. Yahoo described the feature as, “When you start typing a name, Yahoo Mail offers smart search suggestions — including both people and messages — to help you narrow down your search.” Here’s the complete change log as per the App Store:
- Feature updates for iPhone iOS7+. Your Yahoo Mail app is now enhanced with news, search and snapshots of the weather, sports scores, stocks and news digest. Access the info you need, all in one app.
- Performance improvements
- Bug fixes
If you’re a regular user of the Yahoo Mail app on your iOS device, head over to the App Store and update the app. Yahoo also mentioned that the features will make their way to Android devices as well over the next few weeks. We’ll update you as soon as the update is available in the Google Play Store.
