Xiaomi has announced the launch of two new smartphones, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and the Redmi 5 Plus. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 comes with a 5.7 inch display that features a HD+ resolution. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor.
The handset comes with a choice of RAM and storage, one model has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, the other 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There is also a microSD card slot which takes up to a 128GB card.
The Redmi 5 comes with Android 7.1.2 Nougat and it features MIUI 9, the device has front and rear cameras. On the front of the handset there is a 5 megapixel camera and on the back there is a 12 megapixel camera. It also comes with a 3300 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus comes with a 5.99 inc display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor and comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There is also another version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
The Redmi 5 Plus comes with a 4000 mAh battery and it has a 5 megapixel front camera and a 12 megapixel rear camera. The Redmi 5 will costs about $120 and the 5 Plus about $150.
