Mad Catz has this week made available its new flagship wireless gaming mouse in the form of the R.A.T.AIR, designed to provide the “ultimate solution for casual and competitive gamers alike” says Mad Catz. The R.A.T.AIR consists of two components the mouse and the Activation Board offering a wirelessly charging mouse mat which connects to your PC via USB and offers a constant stream of wireless power to the mouse. Removing the need for the mouse to be powered by batteries and even powering the mouse for a small amount of time when lifted from the board itself.
The R.A.T.AIR can also be quickly connected to a wired connection by unplugging the mouse mat cable and connecting it directly to the mouse. “Armed with the respected tournament favourite Pixart PMW 3360 optical sensor，the R.A.T. AIR is capable of withstanding high movement speeds of up to 250 inches per second and 50G of acceleration. This is crucial for ensuring that all snap-shot reflexes and fast-tracking movements are lag-free. The R.A.T. range is built for endurance，using materials and components specified to meet the demands. R.A.T. AIR is constructed around a super lightweight chassis，ensuring the sensor position is perfectly balanced for tracking on your gaming surface.
