Microsoft has put up a special Bing page for its ‘Consumer Preview’ of Windows 8, and Microsoft is expected to release the Windows 8 Consumer Preview sometime this month.
The Bing website included a Betta fish which Microsoft has used previously as the default wallpaper in the Windows 7 beta, and you can see the Bing website here.
We don’t as yet have an exact release date for the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, all we know is that it will land sometime this month and it will also come with a preview of the new Windows Store, Microsoft’s answer to the app store.
Features of Windows 8 Consumer Preview
The Windows 8 Consumer Preview is highly anticipated as it promises to bring a host of new features and improvements over its predecessors. One of the most talked-about features is the new Metro interface, which is designed to provide a more intuitive and touch-friendly experience. This interface is expected to be a significant departure from the traditional Windows desktop, offering live tiles and a more streamlined user experience.
Another exciting feature is the integration of the Windows Store. Much like Apple’s App Store, the Windows Store will allow users to download and install a wide variety of applications directly onto their devices. This move is seen as a significant step towards making Windows more competitive in the mobile and tablet markets.
What to Expect from the Windows Store
The Windows Store is expected to be a game-changer for Microsoft. It will offer a centralized location for users to find and download apps, games, and other software. This is a significant shift from the traditional method of downloading software from various websites, which can often be cumbersome and risky. The Windows Store aims to provide a safer, more streamlined experience for users.
In addition to apps and games, the Windows Store will also feature a variety of other content, including music, movies, and books. This makes it a one-stop-shop for all your digital content needs. Microsoft is also expected to offer a range of exclusive content and deals through the Windows Store, making it an attractive option for users.
As soon as we get some more information on when the Windows 8 Consumer Preview will be available we will let you guys know.
