Western Digital has this week launched a new updated range of their Western Digital MyBook external HDD which now offers and impressive 4TB of storage for a reasonable $180.
The new range of Western Digital MyBook external HDD’s are equipped with USB 3.0 connectivity and available in either 2TB , 3TB or 4TB storage capacities.
The drives also come with data protection features that have been specifically designed to make it easy to backup content. The WD SmartWare Pro automatic back-up software with Dropbox integration offers cloud backup capabilities, and the WD Edition of Acronis True Image enables users to execute a full system backup and securely delete digital files and programs. Scott Steffens, general manager of WD’s consumer storage products group.

The My Book for Mac will also incorporate SuperSpeed USB 3.0 and UAS connectivity for increased speed and flexibility the drives are priced at $129.99 for the 2 TB, $149.99 for the 3 TB, and $179.99 for the 4 TB and are available from the online store.
