Walmart is dropping the price of both of Apple’s current iPhone models in the U.S. from today, the company will be selling the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C at reduced prices.
The new prices are when you take out a new two year contract with one of the mobile carriers, which include Sprint, AT&T and Verizon.
The iPhone 5C will be available for $29 with a new two year contract, the handset previously retailed for $49. The iPhone 5S will be available for $99 with a two year contract with one of the carriers, it was previously available for $149 with the retailer.
Apple are expected to launch their new iPhone 6 in September, and retailers are looking to clear stock of the existing models before the new versions launch later in the year, we suspect we may see some more price drops for other retailers.
The iPhone 6 is rumored to be available in two different models, one with a 4.7 inch display, the other with a 5.5 inch display, and it is possible that both devices may have slightly different specifications.
We previously heard of a possible release date for the new iPhone 6, according to recent rumors, the handset will go on sale in the U.S., UK and a number of other countries on Friday the 19th of September.
